Friends

Two of our friends whom we met today told us how we were their best friends.
They both are having a very different life.  One is married but has no children,
and the other married but has no wife but children.  His wife died almost 20
years ago.

We never had an experience like they had, so we don't know how it is to have
life like them.  It is such an honor that people think that we are their friends.
We don't deserve to be a part of their precious life, but somehow they include
us to be one of them.

I never can say that we understand other's pain.  People always want to share
their pain but often can't find someone who may understand.
And you never can understand other's pain as they do.

But what we can do is to listen to them and not giving any opinions.
I think that's what people need  -   someone to sit there and listen to them.

Everyone has a different life.  It is good to know what others go through
their life.  We learn life that way.  And we need someone to listen to us, too.
